Why is mantaflow fluid simulation not respecting collision?

Why is mantaflow fluid simulation not respecting collision?

The Mantaflow simulation just passes straight through my cup even though it is in the domain, all normals are blue, and the cup object has been marked as an Effector with collision. Super frustrated with Blender fluid simulation right now. Making the Solidify modifier thicker by 0.29m made it start working for some reason.

Why is my effector not working in fluid simulation?

However when I bake the simulation the water passes straight through the effector. I want the water to run to the end and fall of the effector and gather in the bottom of the domain. I have tried looking for a solution and the planes have now a thickness of 0.3m and all transforms are applied. But to no avail.

Is there a way to make mantaflow work in Blender?

A setting similar to this one in Flip Fluid addon : FLIP Fluids is a powerful liquid simulation plugin that gives you the ability to create high quality fluid effects all within Blender, the free and open source 3D creation suite. – rlguy/Blender-FL…

What should the surface thickness of mantaflow be?

Any advice anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Surface Thickness on the Effector – I have invisible Effectors which are set further away from the fluid and have Surface Thicknesses of 1.5 to 2. I then have my visible textured surfaces close enough to the fluid to give the illusion of them being effectors.

Where did the idea of mantaflow come from?

About mantaflow mantaflowmantaflow is currently being actively developed and maintained at the Thuerey group of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Development started in 2009 at the ETH Computer Graphics Laboratory. It since then mantaflow was used as a basis for numerous publications, such as:

What can mantaflow be used for in Blender?

It’s very versatile, and allows coupling and import/export with deep learning frameworks (e.g., tensorflow via numpy) or standalone compilation as matlab plugin. Mantaflow also serves as the simulation engine in Blender. Download the latest version here. Here’s a preview of a guided tornado simulation created with mantaflow.
