The send button will gray out when mail detects that the settings to / from the mail server are incorrect or it cannot communicate to the mail server. You may start up mail and “send” out a few messages but they are most likely just getting queued up to be sent.
If you create a new iMessage or text message on your iPhone, you may notice the up arrow (send button) is greyed out and you are unable to send the message. Our fix was to copy/paste the text message you created, cancel the text message, and then re-create the text message to the same person.
Why can’t I hit send on Outlook?
Most likely there is a communication problem between Outlook and your outgoing mail server, so the email is stuck in Outbox because Outlook can’t connect to your mail server to send it. – check with your email address provider and make sure your mail server settings are up to date.

Why is reply all greyed out?

Can a BCC reply all?
Addresses that have been placed in the BCC field are not forwarded. If you have placed a large list of recipients in the To or CC field, all of them will receive the reply. By placing recipients in the BCC field, you can help protect them against receiving unnecessary replies from anyone using the Reply All feature.
To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. Suddenly I have a greyed out Send button when I try and send a new email – but I can still reply to emails.Gr I’ve tried uninstalling mail account and then reinstalling but it hasn’t helped. When you have no mail account configured in Outlook, the Reply, Forward and create New Email button might still be available to you, but you’ll no longer see a Send button to actually send the message or you’ll get a message “No valid email accounts are configured”.

You have no email account configured (anymore). Luckily, it is easy to recover from either scenario. When your version of Outlook hasn’t been activated yet or your trial has expired, Outlook will go into “Reduced functionality mode”.
Why is the send button on my MacBook not working?
I seem to have found the answer – have realised if I type in the subject line a little blue bell icon appears (never seen it before it’s to do with receiving notification of reply to the thread.). Anyway if I turn that off hey presto the Send button is back working!
