Why is my headset not detected?
Make sure your headphones are properly connected to your laptop. Right-click the volume icon on the bottom left of your screen, and select Sounds. Click the Playback tab. If your headphones don’t show up as a listed device, right-click on the empty area and make sure Show Disabled Devices has a check mark on it.

Can You Connect Bluetooth headphones to your Mac?
The bluetooth is turned on on both devices, and they can connect to my phone (Nexus 5X). I have only pared them to my phone and have turned the bluetooth off on my phone while trying to connect to my mac (even though the headphones should be able to be connected to 2 devices at the same time).
