Why is my interface popping?
Pops, clicks, and dropouts are often buffer-related issues (usually from having your buffer size set too low). Check your Buffer Size setting for your interface/audio system.

Why is my recording crackling?
Dust and dirt lodged in the record grooves act as an obstacle for your turntable’s stylus, and when the stylus hits one of these microscopic particles it will jump and create that popping sound associated with crackle. Static build-up on the record is another very common cause of crackle.
Why do I get Weird Pops in my Reaper input?
This problem has been getting worse all day (I’ve been at it for almost 7 hours now). It started off as happening every once in a while and I’d restart reaper and it would go back to normal. I wanted to have Reaper’s output sent to the Realtek card from my laptop (so that the sound comes from the laptop speakers), but Reaper only shows as options for me the outputs of the audio interface.

Is it possible to select an audio device for Reaper driver?
Question: is it possible to select an audio device for ASIO driver in Reaper but have the output sent to another device (in my case, to my laptop speakers, instead of the outputs from the audio interface, used for the ASIO driver)? I tried using the Routing Matrix and Rearoute but couldn’t find such an option there. Thanks! Hmm.
