If you had the Studio version and a GPU that decodes and encodes h.264 it would be dramatically faster. So what I hear you saying is that with the Free version and my current computer specs, it will export out at a similar rate to the length of the video. Thanks for your reply! The Blackmagic Config specs are very strict, and performance will suffer if you try to use hardware below what they recommend. In general, speed will increase if you use very fast CPUs with a lot of cores, the latest operating systems, and very powerful GPUs with a lot of RAM.

I have seen big systems that can render faster than normal even in 4K provided the node trees are simple and there’s no NR or OFX happening.
