Why is my Y axis not working properly?
I did not trace my error down but when I connect the two motors together at the terminals, the wires have to be wired the same way to get it working properly (which means I switched the wires on one of the steppers at the stepper motor). Shrug it off, move one to the next inevitable mistake. PJTXJuly 1, 2015, 4:40pm #3
Is the Y axis motor noisy compared to the x axis?
It seems the Y Motor movement is very noisy compared to X axis motor movement, not sure if maybe issue with Y axis motor motor. Noticed with all the self test I have done that it doesn’t seem to fail or stop at the same place either which makes it confusing.
How to fix self test error on Y axis length?
I got past the error and completed the self test with your help. removed zip tie that holds the heat bed cables going in einsy board and added one wasn’t so tight so it’s more slack. Also removed the whole y axis belt and reinstalling. I think reinstalling belt was key to fix.
Why is the Y axis not working on my G shield?
I tried switching the X and Y cables in the G shield and the X-Axis still worked in the Y-Axis spot but the Y didn’t work in the X-Axis so I knew it was either the wires or the motors. I finally decided to just start undoing the wiring.
Most of the time there’s no problem but just occasionally the offset is added to the Work co-ords for no apparent reason. “Zero XY”, “Zero Z”, “Restore XYZ” buttons works with G92 command. “Abort” button also restores only G92 offsets for now. So, it may be problem with G54-G59 offsets.
How can I change the alignment of the Axis?
In the Custom angle box, select the degree of rotation that you want. Tip You can also change the horizontal alignment of axis labels, by clicking the axis, and then click Align Left, Center, or Align Right on the Home toolbar. You can change the text of category labels on the worksheet, or you can change them directly in the chart.
