Why is Polylang plugin for WordPress not working?
I installed Polylang Plugin and configed that but I have a problem when I set the default language in Persian language the site loaded in English mode and it is not deference if change default language because in any way in run site loaded by English version.
Why is there no language list in WordPress?
In my case, the reason was simple. When you install an english-only version of WordPress, there is no languages subdirectory under the wp-content directory. Create it manually, and you will receive all available language list at your WP dashboard. First, select and install required language.

You can set default language by click on star in Polylang ‘Languages’ page, there will be a star for default language when someone is visiting your website. Also, don’t forget to deactivate detect browser language in Polylang ‘Settings’ page, I hope this will work.
When does Polylang not show a language switcher?
Note: To avoid 404 errors, Polylang does not display a language on frontend if there is no published content (post or page) in that language. If there is no content in any language, then the language switcher does not appear at all.
Where to put custom flags in Polylang plugin?
Don’t use the /polylang/flags/ directory as your file would be removed when automatically updating the plugin. Once the custom flag is uploaded, go in Languages > Settings > URL modifications module then click on save changes. Note that your custom flags are not used on admin side.
