If we copy a number of files into the directory (in this case from Dropbox) the files are uploaded but then when we try to open them it opens the file in Protected View – we then click on Check Out and it pops up with an error saying ‘We’re having trouble connecting to the server’.

Completely unrelated to this (or so it seems) is another error message that appears when users attempt to modify list item or document properties. When users make changes to these properties, and then click OK, the property form remains visible for what seems longer than it should, and then a message is displayed on this form:

Why is my computer having trouble connecting to the server?
This happens for a specific folder. Moreover, it randomly occurs another issue which says we couldn’t open the file as a workaround I closed all Office applications. This worked (apparently) but some excel still show the message “We’re having trouble connecting the server”. Do you have any suggestion?
