The error being thrown in Event Viewer and in the ULS logs was as follows: Application Server Administration job failed for service instance Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.SearchServiceInstance (09fe67b2-d3d8-4d45-a87a-bda7d45a9ad0). If I try to restart the “Sharepoint Server Search” service from CA I get an error: ” Invalid search service unprovisioning: application ‘Search Service Application’ still has a ready component ‘in search service instance’ on server ‘192.168.60.5’. ” – I’m not sure what this means?
How to restore search service applications in SharePoint Server?
To restore the databases for a Search service application by using SQL Server tools Verify that the user account that you are using to restore the databases is a member of the SQL Server sysadmin fixed server role on the database server where each database is stored.
