Why is there no sound coming from my receiver?
Make sure the input devices are playing audio. Make sure the VOLUME or MASTER VOLUME knob of your AV Receiver is not set to VOL MIN. Make sure headphones aren’t connected to your receiver or input device. Press the SPEAKERS button on your receiver and select a setting other than OFF SPEAKERS.
How do I fix the sound on my home theater?
You may try to changing the TV channel or play back a movie on a DVD player. Try different cables to verify this is not a bad set of cables. Try setting the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver to a different Surround Sound mode. IMPORTANT: Verify that the source you are playing is encoded with Surround Sound audio.
