Will Adobe CS5 run on High Sierra?
Adobe software older than the Creative Cloud (CC) versions are not officially supported on macOS 10.13 High Sierra. Based on some quick tests I did, Adobe applications before CS6 do not run as smoothly as they did in earlier versions of macOS/OS X. The CS3–CS5 applications seem particularly risky to me.

Since macOS 10.13 High Sierra was released after macOS 10.12 Sierra, it seems as though the same information would apply to High Sierra. However, to be certain I would recommend getting in touch with Adobe.

You’re missing the point. Chris was trying to politely tell you that you need to talk to Adobe about this, not Apple.

Once High Sierra is done installing, reinstall Java 6. Another possible issue is that the CS6 apps sometimes need to be reinstalled before they’ll work. In other words, be prepared for a lot of work before you’ll know if things turn out the way you hope. If not, that’s why you have the backup to restore.
