How many Motors does Lego boost have?
It contains two motors with tachometers, the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connections with your tablet, two input and output ports, a six-axis tilt sensor and a multicolored light. Also in the Hub is the battery compartment for six AAA batteries and the green “on” button.

Is the Lego boost kit compatible with other Lego sets?
While LEGO BOOST is compatible with the bricks from other sets, the motor, distance sensor, and Move Hub are not electrically compatible with current EV3 or PowerFunctions components. BOOST uses the same six pin connector as WeDo 2.0 from the Education line: So, the bad news is that you can’t easily use PF or EV3 motors with BOOST.

Can you connect power functions to Lego powered up?
The connectors are not compatible with the Power Functions system therefore it is not possible to connect any of the Power Functions motors/lights/etc. It is possible however to control the IR receiver from the Powered Up app with the help of the Color & Distance sensor.
How many sensors are in a Lego hub?
Apart from the basic functions this hub has a 6 axis sensor (3 gyro and 3 accelerometer sensors) built in, so it can provide useful data itself without additional sensors attached. C’mon LEGO, AA batteries again are you kidding me?
