What is Block and Widget in Magento2?
Blocks and Widgets are the key layout features in Magento. These two features are very closely linked, and are often used together. One way to think about Blocks is that they are mini-Pages. A Block can also contain text, images, video and more.
What is Widget Magento2?
Widgets allow Magento 2 store administrators to add static/dynamic content to CMS pages and blocks, providing a lot of functionality and straightforward implementation. Widgets are reusable components that can be added in any CMS block of Magento 2.
What is a Block in Magento?
A block is a modular unit of content that can be positioned most anywhere on the page. Content blocks are sometimes referred to as static blocks, or CMS blocks.
What does Luma stand for in video science?
Luma is the weighted sum of gamma-compressed R′G′B′ components of a color video—the prime symbols ′ denote gamma compression. The word was proposed to prevent confusion between luma as implemented in video engineering and relative luminance as used in color science (i.e. as defined by CIE ).
As a result, errors in chroma can affect luminance. Luma alone does not perfectly represent luminance; accurate luminance requires both accurate luma and chroma. Hence, errors in chroma “bleed” into the luminance of an image.
How is the luma of a color calculated?
RGB values of example colors with the same relative luminance as the darkest primary color (blue) using BT. 709 primaries for gamma correction equal to 2.2. For digital formats following CCIR 601 (i.e. most digital standard definition formats), luma is calculated with this formula:
What’s the difference between luma and Rec.601?
The difference in luma coefficients requires that component signals must be converted between Rec. 601 and Rec. 709 to provide accurate colors. In consumer equipment, the matrix required to perform this conversion may be omitted (to reduce cost), resulting in inaccurate color.
